  • I'm not dead.

Where does the time go? It seems not that long ago I had some free time opening up to fill with blissful blogging. I suppose I was wrong.

17 weeks into a pregnancy, paired with 4 children (one of whom is still breastfeeding) doesn't seem to allow me the ability to stay awake long enough for any free writing time I might actually be entitled to. Ho hum, right? Such is a mother's life.. but I have been blogging, just not here. A while back I had 6 different blogs, I condensed them into two; this one and my sewing/crafty one over on blogger.

While I was nursing my son last night, thinking about a gift I made that I forgot to take pictures of (for my blog) I had a total "DOH" moment. Why on earth don't I just import that blog here? What the heck was I thinking.. well I know what I was thinking .. I think. I probably didn't want certain people to end up reading certain things I've written over here... but I no longer care. Sure I'll lose some comments, but I'm just going to blog in one spot.. obviously I cannot keep up with both. Besides there is no community on blogger.

So I will no longer seem out of the loop.. bear with my while I import ...

Yay! Welcome back. And congrats on the new baby. My sister's going to have a new baby in a few months too. My nephew is really excited to be a big brother.

Maybe you can lure some of those Bloggers over to Xanga...

LOL Good.  Let me know if something comes up though.  The birth went pretty good.  I felt more than I wanted to.  They no longer set the epidural on a constant drip... you have to ask for it each time a contraction comes on it seems.  With Mike I was completely numb from the waist down.  An hour after delivery my legs still felt tingly and hard to control when they got me up to go urinate.  NOT THIS TIME!  lol  I didn't get any medication until I was dilated to 7.5 and by then it seemed like it didn't do a whole lot of good.  I was begging the Dr. to just pull him out and he had only begun to crown the cervix.  LOL  There were some other mix-ups too... didn't follow my birth plan, so daddy didn't get to cut the cord.  Fuckers... can't get THAT moment back.  But at least he was there and watching and assisting the whole way through.  Recovery was awesome.  Every nurse explained exactly what was going on, constantly asked if I wanted fresh ice water or a snack... it was great.  Billy was with me the entire time except for his first bath and exam and when I would request them to take him so that I could go outside with my husband.  I LOVED that part.  It seemed like they were always taking Mike out of the room for something or other and I was only there just over 24 hrs. Mike.  I was in the hospital just under 48 hrs. with Billy.  No stitches this time!  My healing has been swift.  I was ready to be out and about the second day home!  Sorry to blog your blog... but you asked.  LOL  (((HUGS)))

@VioletMoonDancer7 - haha, no problem I like long comments! The epidural issue you had sounds odd.. although I've never had one (they terrify me, aside from me liking everything natural.. haha), I never heard of anyone having to continually ask for it.. OH we know all about hospitals not following birth plans too.. with my last one some nurse we hadn't even seen the entire time we were there just strolled in and cut the cord! I was livid! But at least everything else went smoothly for you! That's awesome! I'm really going to try for a home birth this time, so far I haven't been labeled 'high risk' even though I'm 35.. we'll see. Thanks for the update, glad you're both doing good!
